Jane’s short films have been supported by AHRC, Arts Council England and the British Council. Her work has screened widely at international film festivals, on UK and Danish TV and as multi-screen installations. She trained at the Polish National Film School in Łódź, (PWSFTviT) and Northern Film School, Leeds, and gained a PhD in Film by Practice at the University of Exeter/London Film School. She has taught on Filmmaking and Creative Writing programmes at the universities of Exeter and Essex. Jane worked as an editor and creative consultant on three short films for the University of Oxford, and recently directed the short drama, Chatter. She is currently developing two feature screenplays with co-writer Susanna Jones.

 

Jane was raised in Lancashire, spent several years living in London, and is now based in Gloucestershire.
